Natural Remedies for Heartburn

Heartburn is a symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease and it is caused by acid refluxing in the esophagus. Risk factors include people who have increased production of acid in the stomach, as well as structural problems which allow acid reflux in the esophagus. (1)

Remedy 1:

Ingredients you will need:

  • 2 inches fresh ginger root
  • 3 cups filtered water
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey

 

Preparation:

Put the ginger in a glass of water and stir well. Then add the squeezed lemon juice and the honey and mix it. The ginger water is ready. You can drink it twice a day and after several days you will feel the results. (2)

Remedy 2:

Ingredients:

  • Liter water
  • 2 handfuls of rice

Preparation:

You should cook 2 handfuls of rice in a liter of water. Then strain the water and leave it to cool down. Drink this rice water every morning before breakfast and it will help you reduce heartburn and treat gastritis.

Remedy 3:

Ingredients you will need:

  • 2 carrots
  • Few celery stalks
  • 1 cup of water

 

Preparation:

Put the carrots and the celery stalks in a blender. Blend them well and add one cup water. Stir it and drink it. It will solve your problem instantly. (3)

Remedy 4:

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of aloe Vera
  • 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • Lemon
  • Cucumber

Preparation:

All you need is to mix these ingredients and drink the mixture every morning before breakfast. (4)
