Cardiovascular exercise must be first on our daily workout plan. This type of exercise presents every movement which increases our heart rate to improve the body’s oxygen flow. They can be of lower impact like walking, swimming, cycling and rowing or higher impact like running and skipping.
Cardio has numerous benefits for our body such as:
- Reducing belly fat
- Promotes brain growth
- Lower blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels
- Improve heart function
- Reduce the risk of osteoporosis
- Promotes focus
- Reduce stress
- Prevent depression
- Interrupts anxiety
How much cardio exercise you need?
The American College of Sports Medicine and American Heart Association both recommend all healthy adults under the age of 65 to perform brisk walking for minimum 30 minutes a day or running for minimum 20 minutes.
Note: You must be careful on your target training heart rate because it should be between 50 and 85 per cent of your maximum heart rate.
Don’t think twice add the cardio in your daily activities and improve your look and your heart and lungs health.
